Debate! Content Marketing vs. Inbound Marketing? (not really)

Posted by Mike Volpe on 1/20/12 11:26 AM

gavelMy personal view is that content is an important ingredient to inbound marketing but content is not the whole story.  You need to measure and analyze your marketing, you need to convert visitors into leads and customers using landing pages and lead nurturing.  You need to promote your content using social media dn other methods.

If you publish it, they will NOT necessarily come. But, if you do inbound marketing, they WILL come.

But guess what?  It does not really matter what I think (except to me).  What matters is what you think.  In that vain, the folks over at PropelGrowth have organized a conversation about content marketing vs inbound marketing, with some great marketing industry experts (and they invited me too).  I encourage you to join the conversation and let us know what you think about content marketing vs inbound marketing!
