We created a new video. Actually 20 of them. Four of them are in a series called Foursquare Cops. I think the first one has a lot of potential to be somewhat viral. Check it out.
Why does the Foursquare Cops video have a lot of viral marketing potential?
- Ties into an emerging trend - Foursquare is really hot right now, and there is not a ton of video content about it
- Leverages parody - Making fun of the COPS show in a satirical way
- No limits - Many companies would be scared about swearing or shooting in their videos, but on the internet bland content gets bland results
- Appeals to influencers - Doing a video about a social media topic helps attract and activate the people that are most apt to share content online
- Broad appeal - Rather than focusing on just B2B marketers, by engagding a bigger audience you can hopefully appeal more to the mainstream and drive more views
- Exciting & Funny - Good content wins
- Short - Keeping videos pretty short is usually important for success online
So far, Foursquare Cops has been a trending topic on Twitter in Boston, blogged by Mashable, and has thousands of Tweets. We will see in the next 48 hourshow big it gets...

Karen Rubin and I will be in Las Vegas March 19 for live showing of HubSpot TV and then a marketing workshop.
I did a little research on Twitter Grader, and found a few folks that I would like to meet on March 19, and who I am hoping might want to come to the HubSpot TV show that day.
Are you on this list? Connect with me or leave a comment, and let's chat! Maybe we can have you on the show?
Not on the list? Know someone else that I should meet? Invite them to come to the show on March 19!

Today I had the pleasure of delivering the keynote address at W00t! Con in Bakersfield, California. I used my new iPhone 3Gs to stream the presentation live on Qik (my old phone was just an iPhone 3G and did not do video). You can watch the presentation in full (until my battery died during th Q&A) or just see the slides.

What should my co-host Karen Rubin be for Halloween on HubSpot TV?
She promised me that if I wear a banana costume she has then I can pick what she has to wear.
Please leave your thoughts and ideas in the comments.
I'll pick the best 5 ideas or so and then maybe we can vote. A couple suggestions to get your creative juices flowing are below.

We tried to have a little bit of fun at HubSpot mocking Twitter in an office environment and how some companies are obsessed with it. How did we do? is it funny? (I actually can't tell if I laugh because I know all the people, or it is actually funny.) Do you have ideas for another funny office video?
